Wuhan Seafood Market                                    Wuhan Virology Institute

I wonder why no one has as yet publically asked the following  questions.

Did the The Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market (Chinese: 武汉华南海鲜批发市场) in Jianghan District of Wuhan sell live or dead animals (used in experiments) to The Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) 中国科学院武汉病毒研究所 located in Jiangxia District, Wuhan, Hubei or vice versa? Is it also possible that there was human to human contact between infected individuals at either of these two locations with the sale of animals?

Chinese research lab ‘badly hurt’ by rumours linking it to ‘man-made’ coronavirus crisis

Wuhan Institute of Virology says conspiracy theories have ‘seriously interrupted the emergency research we are doing’

They include that the virus strain was ‘leaked from the WIV lab’ and it was ‘taken over by the military’

February 20, 2020

A Chinese research institute in the city of Wuhan – ground zero of the coronavirus outbreak – has again dismissed rumours suggesting it is linked to the public health crisis, saying it has been “badly hurt” by conspiracy theories circulating online.

“The rumours … have caused severe damage to our researchers who have been dedicated to working on the front line, and seriously interrupted the emergency research we are doing during the epidemic,” the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), which is affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said in a statement.

Those rumours included that the new virus strain was “man-made”, “leaked from the WIV lab”, that “the WIV was taken over by the military”, “a WIV researcher died from the leaked virus”, “a WIV student is patient zero”, and “a WIV researcher reported to authorities that the WIV chief was responsible” for the epidemic, the statement posted on its website on Wednesday said.

Coronavirus Exposed, Part 1: Communist Coverup, or Pandemic Bioweapon of Mass Destruction

UPDATE — JANUARY 29, 2020: What’s also odd, and outright suspicious, is that as of January 29, 2020, the location of Wuhan Institute of Virology (where the National Biosafety Laboratory is headquartered) on Google Maps has inexplicably moved since I first viewed it on January 24, 2020 and published this article on January 27, 2020. Its new location is now over twice the distance from the claimed epicenter of the novel coronavirus, Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market. Even its satellite imagery of the original site has been altered as well. Good thing I took screenshots.

A previous study published on peer-reviewed medical journal The Lancet revealed that three out of the first four coronavirus patients had no connection to the seafood market in Wuhan

First coronavirus patient had NO connection to Wuhan seafood market - so did the disease start elsewhere?

Daily Mail

February 20, 2020

The first coronavirus patient was a bed-bound man in his 70s, BBC reported He had no connection to the market where Beijing says the outbreak began An earlier paper said 14 out of the first 41 patients were not linked to the place BBC's report comes after social media accounts pointed the origin to a virus lab Wuhan Institute of Virology said relevant allegations were false and rumours

The first patient diagnosed with the novel coronavirus has been reported to be a bed-bound pensioner who had no connection to a food market in Wuhan where Beijing's officials say the outbreak began.

The revelation, made by BBC, echoed with the information disclosed in a previous medical research, which has prompted Chinese people to speculate about the possible alternative sources of the deadly disease.

According to public notices released by Wuhan Municipal Health Commission, the first coronavirus patient appeared on December 8 and most of the initial patients were linked to the seafood market.

But BBC reported that the very first sufferer, also known as the 'patient zero', was a pensioner in his 70s who was bed-bound due to a stroke and suffered from dementia.

The unnamed man fell ill on December 1 - a week earlier than officials' claims - and had not been to the seafood market prior to falling ill, a doctor told BBC.

The team surveyed the first 41 coronavirus patients who fell ill between December 1 and January 2 and discovered that 14 out of the 41 patients were not linked to the market.

Notably, among the first four cases treated between December 1 and December 11, only one of them had connection to the market.

Subsequent investigation by GreatGameIndia linked the agents to Chinese Biological Warfare Program from where the virus is suspected to have leaked causing the Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak.

Last year a mysterious shipment was caught smuggling Coronavirus from Canada. It was traced to Chinese agents working at a Canadian lab. Subsequent investigation by GreatGameIndia linked the agents to Chinese Biological Warfare Program from where the virus is suspected to have leaked causing the Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak.

The NML scientist who was escorted out of the Canadian lab along with her husband, another biologist, and members of her research team is believed to be a Chinese Bio-Warfare agent Xiangguo Qiu. Qiu was the head of the Vaccine Development and Antiviral Therapies Section in the Special Pathogens Program at Canada’s NML.

A growing body of evidence suggests the Wuhan coronavirus may have leaked from the institute.

According to travel documents obtained by the Canadian CBC, Qiu Xiangguo traveled to China at least five times in 2017-2018, including providing training program for science and technology personnel in a newly established P4 laboratory in China, which is engaged in the most deadly pathogen research.

The Canadian Mounted Police investigated Qiu Xiangguo in July and took her away from the laboratory. Newly exposed documents show that Qiu Xiangguo was invited to the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for two consecutive years, twice a year for up to two weeks at a time. Public Health Canada says Qiu’s actions could be “violating policies.”

The document obtained by the CBC showed that “Qiu’s visit was funded by a third party”, but the third party’s name was erased from the document. During her trip from September 19th to 30th, 2017, she also met with collaborators in Beijing, and the names of the participants in the meeting were also erased.

'Toxic work environment' plagues National Microbiology Lab: workplace report

CBC News

Karen Pauls

October 18, 2019

Donais's report was conducted before an RCMP investigation into what's being described by the Public Health Agency of Canada as a possible "policy breach" at Winnipeg's Level 4 lab, where two scientists and their students from China had their security access revoked in July.

Some of the people on the lab side also have a reputation for being disrespectful, pushy and inconsiderate of the roles played by other employees. The report notes there is an increasingly fine line between disrespectful behaviour and harassment in workplace law.

There is little acknowledgement of the contribution of the NML's administrative side to the success of the science side, the report found, a "serious red flag" that needs to be addressed.

Donais noted that 21.8 per cent of the employees in the NML's program services division indicated they are currently experiencing mental health challenges that could affect their productivity.

He found the logistics division is "clearly a work group that is in serious trouble."

Misery infects virology lab: deadly pathogens, toxic workplace Winnipeg researchers producing brilliant science — including the Ebola vaccine — but current, former staff reveal litany of problems inside walls of high-security, high-pressure federal facility

The bacteriologist was renowned for her work preparing labs across Canada for bioterrorism threats, and working with the RCMP to secure sites such as the Vancouver Olympics.

But after 16 years of working at Canada’s highest-security lab on Arlington Street in Winnipeg’s West End, Soule’s mental health began to deteriorate. She told friends senior managers were ostracizing her.

Normally known for her style and quick wit, she had been showing up to work in T-shirts and yoga pants, at times smelling of alcohol. Two months after the breakdown, she died in a coma after stumbling down a flight of stairs at home.

It’s unclear what set Soule off during her last day at work, on Oct. 21, 2016. Colleagues saw her stumbling down a hallway, swearing at the top of her lungs. Managers tried to calm her down. The on-site nurse walked her out of the building.

Two months later, Soule stumbled down a flight of stairs at home. She died in a coma on Dec. 27 at HSC.

How deep-brain stimulation treats disorders: “It’s given me my life back”

Wency Leung

Published December 16, 2019

Updated December 19, 2019

Dr. Plummer said he relied on alcohol over the years to deal with daily life, from stress to grief to happiness. Since alcohol use is common and socially accepted, and because he limited his consumption to evenings after work, he did not realize his drinking was problematic until he learned his liver was failing in 2012.

Today, he said, he is not completely abstinent – that is not his goal – although he no longer drinks every day and does not crave it. With his newfound energy, he is writing a book and working on developing an HIV vaccine.

A former scientific director of the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg involved in the development of an Ebola vaccine, Dr. Plummer is the first patient with alcohol-use disorder to participate in the trial at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre; researchers are hoping to get a total of six. It is believed to be the first trial of deep-brain stimulation for alcohol-use disorder in North America.

Dr. Charles Lieber arrested at Harvard

Harvard Professor, BU Researcher Among 3 Charged With Illegal Ties To China

CBS Boston

January 28, 2020

BOSTON (CBS) – Three people tied to universities and a hospital in the Boston area were indicted on charges they lied about their ties to China or tried to help the Chinese government. Among them was Dr. Charles Lieber, the chair of Harvard University’s Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology.

Prosecutors said Lieber had a contract with Wuhan Institute of Technology. He also ran a group that had contracts with the Department of Defense and National Institutes of Health.

COVID-19 – What We Know and What We Don't Know

In Foreign, Science

Faye Higbee

February 18, 2020

On December 9, a Chinese National named Zheng Zaosong, 29, was detained at Logan Airport in Boston for attempting to smuggle biological material. The South China Morning Post noted: “21 wrapped vials containing a ‘brown liquid’ that appeared to be ‘biological material’ were found in a sock during an inspection of his checked baggage.”

Zheng Zaosong allegedly lied to Customs officials about the vials. He eventually confessed that he stole 8 of the vials from the Beth Israel Hospital research lab in Boston, and replicated 11 others (SCMP says 21 vials). He also had a laptop belonging to another Chinese national that contained research material. He said that the laptop “wouldn’t fit” in his friend’s luggage.

He claimed to be taking the vials to Sun Yat-sen Memorial University for research, intending to publish a paper for himself. The Govt did not release the contents of the vials, just stating that they contained “DNA.” The University has a satellite school in Wuhan, although it is NOT KNOWN if that was his destination.

His “friend,” Yanqing Ye, 29, turned out to be a Chinese Army Lieutenant in the PLA and member of the Communist Party. (Via Universal Hub). She was under the direct control of China’s military. She was indicted by the Federal government, but had flown back to China in April of last year. She allegedly was spying on behalf of China, and allowing her superior officer access to her credentials so he could snoop around.

he Justice Department says Lieber, 60, lied about his contact with the Chinese program known as the Thousand Talents Plan, which the U.S. has previously flagged as a serious intelligence concern. He also is accused of lying about about a lucrative contract he signed with China’s Wuhan University of Technology.

In an affidavit unsealed Tuesday, FBI Special Agent Robert Plumb said Lieber, who led a Harvard research group focusing on nanoscience, had established a research lab at the Wuhan university — apparently unbeknownst to Harvard.

“Many stories have promoted an unverified theory that the Wuhan lab discussed in this article played a role in the coronavirus outbreak that began in December 2019. Nature knows of no evidence that this is true; scientists believe the most likely source of the coronavirus to be an animal market.”

The problem with that statement is that the Wuhan wet market, while definitely a possible source of the disease, was inspected two months before the outbreak, according to John Cote at Special Forces Report.
